Date: March 7, 2022 Here’s a local project I’m happy to share. The concept was to fill a newly constructed wall with a “Route 66” style billboard delivering the message of this great Veterinarian team… Architect’s drawing, inspiration image and my maquette for the client. Color palette selected to add to the interior (beige/grey off the color deck and darker versions). Hint: I added the rest of the colors. Some employees had purple sneakers and said they wanted more color. I obliged. To scale drawings I used to create the canvases. Drawings… First brushstrokes… In process Many in process…I worked them all at once to bounce color between them to create continuity and variety within the color palette. Dude! He was fun to paint, 20 minutes??? Couldn’t decide on the last letter till a walk between my home and studio. The client loved the idea of “my cat” as she had been a client of theirs. Reference photo is my sister with our cousin Amy VanValkenburg Vance ‘s cat that we absolutely love
